David Alaba and USC Students Design adidas Speedfactory AM4
Students of the USC Iovine and Young Academy – named for Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre – were recently tapped by adidas for a special footwear design competition, teaming up with footballers David Alaba and Serge Gnabry to come up with FC Bayern–inspired designs for the Three Stripes' Speedfactory.
Utilising the AM4 as a base, both groups came up with red, white and blue designs as a nod to Bayern's alternate 2019/20 UEFA Champions League kit. While Alaba's crew went with a pixelated navy-to-white gradient along with bright red branding, Gnabry's team opted for a navy and red combo, UltraBOOST-style heel counters, and Bayern's crest.
Ultimately, the Alaba design was chosen as the winner following a public vote and, as a result, will see a limited release sometime in the near future.
Stay tuned for drop info.
