Fear of God’s Latest Sneaker is Built with Vintage Tees
Jerry Lorenzo is back with a fresh silhouette to accompany his Fear of God line, this time constructing a high-top sneaker made-up of vintage tees.
Following up from the low-top 101, Fear of God’s latest repurposes vintage t-shirts to create one-of-a-kind designs across the silhouette’s uppers. With cotton laces and full-length rubber tooling, the sneaker was designed in Italy and made from vintage tees from across the globe.
Lorenzo described his love of vintage tees via his Instagram account. He said, 'For a while I’ve been rocking the same few 2 or 3 tees inside/out to be a bit more un-opinionated with my fashion and I guess in way as I’ve done my entire life, try to further separate myself thru clothing… but my love for vintage tees hasn’t changed.'
'Fast forward a few years and I found myself sitting on a few hundred of rare tees from the 80s and 90s that I don’t wear anymore… instead of throwing them up on @grailed …we came up with a new way to ‘repurpose’ them… again. Introducing the 101 high… all sneakers, literally 1OF1… dropping next month'.
