Vans Anaheim Factory Pack Brings 80s Skull Print Back From the Dead
Popular amongst Vans purists since launching a couple of years ago, the Anaheim Factory line continues to drop an intriguing selection of throwback styles from the brand’s archives. Taking it back to the days of coffin-shaped skate decks and Skyway Tuff wheels, Vans have adorned the latest Anaheim Factory pack with their infamous all-over skull print.
Skulls were a big look in the 1980s skateboard/BMX scene – from Life’s A Beach clothing to Skull Skates, the Jolly Roger motif was everywhere. Now Vans bring it back with the Anaheim Factory OG Skulls Era 95 DX, that comes in a choice of black/white or red/black colourways, alongside a single red/black rendition of the Sk8-Hi 38 DX, and a black/white Old Skool 36 DX.
As with previous Anaheim Factory releases, these stay true to the original 1966 hand-made canvas sneakers, with heavy 10-oz. canvas uppers and higher glossed foxing tape. An added bonus is the inclusion of an UltraCush footliner, providing the shoe with more comfort than its 1960s counterpart.
Pairs of the Anaheim Factory pack are available now via Vans.
